Vanthana is a Senior Researcher and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Lao PDR’s Ministry of Planning and Investment. He holds a PhD in Economics and his primary research fields include Development Economics, Macroeconomics, and Economic Integration.
Senior Researcher in Law
Nalonglith holds a master degree in international trade law from the the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He is Director General of the Department of Law Review and Assessment of the Lao Ministry of Justice and currently heads the technical committee of the Lao Civil Code drafting group.
Junior Researcher in Economics
Vanxay is a researcher and deputy chief of Macroeconomic Monitoring and Forecasting Division (MMF) at the Center for Macroeconomic Policy and Economic Restructuring (CMER), National Institute for Economic Research (NIER), Vientiane, Laos. He holds a Master in International and Development Economics from Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia. His primary research fields are macro modelling, asset poverty, productivity, and technical efficiency.
Researcher in Law and Political Economy
Kinnalone is a researcher and Chief of the Macroeconomic Policy Research Division at the Center for Macroeconomic Policy and Economic Restructuring (CMER), National Institute for Economic Research (NIER), in Vientiane, Laos. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the Graduate School of International Relations (GSIR) at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto Japan. Kinnalone has a variety of research experience such as: ‘Domestic savings mobilization: A tool for closing the Investment-Savings gap in Lao PDR’, ‘Impacts of foreign capital inflows on domestic savings in 6 ASEAN countries: A panel data analysis’ among others.
